
Alan has over 40 years of racing experience. He was a competitive stock car driver from 1974 - 1993. He is a member of the Rockford Speedway Walk of Fame. In January of 2017, he will inducted into the Florida Villages of Motor Racing Hall of Fame. He raced in the ARCA series, USAC series, and Winston Racing Series in stock cars that he built and maintained. He was a two-time track champion at Rockford Speedway in Rockford, IL where he set track records. He also owned a three time championship winning car. In 1994, he started his own business, Sheppard Racing Enterprises, Inc. He built and repaired stock cars for competitors at local racetracks in Illinois and Wisconsin. This included chassis setup, frame repair, building and repairing roll cages, interior sheet metal and exterior body replacement and painting. Numerous cars built and/or set up by SRE set track records and won track championships. The company is now relocated in Deland, Florida where Alan resides with his wife, Lori. We will continue to service local race competitors' needs including a chassis dyno and pull down rig. SRE also manufactures tools and parts for CV Products. He will use his 15 years of NASCAR experience as a technical and safety inspector to help local racers succeed.
